DAX International was established to provide the global aerospace and defence industry with a comprehensive line of 'just in time' interconnect products, backed by expertise and enthusiasm. In our first five years we have built up a £1 million-plus business by listening to our customers - and giving them what they want, when they want it.

Experience and service

DAX, which celebrated its fifth birthday in June 2005, was founded by Alan Buck, who has 35 years' experience in the purchasing and supply of components for the aerospace and defence industry. Alan's contacts in the business were telling him that too many suppliers were indifferent to customers' needs and fobbed them off with lengthy delivery times. He saw an opportunity to plug the gap by offering a highly responsive service, backed by real expertise. We have built our success since then on combining the sourcing and purchasing knowledge that comes from years of industry experience with a total dedication to service. In an industry which is increasingly dominated by big-company attitudes, we give clients the levels of attention and response they thought had gone for ever. We work just as hard to source a single component as we will for an order of 500, because we know that's the way to build confidence and keep customers.

Your guide through the technical minefield

Our customers tell us we take away the pain of component sourcing. The components world is immensely complex, with many manufacturers producing thousands of components, all with their own proprietary part numbers. Our knowledge of the marketplace and understanding of the manufacturing base enables us to go straight to the best source for each order.

The DAX Service:
Sourcing and stocking

We source components worldwide, keeping tabs on suppliers so we know who can supply the parts we need and when we need them. Around 75% of our components are sourced from the USA.

Quantities of many frequently ordered components are kept in stock so that we can despatch urgent orders the same day.
We never over promise. Our clients have learned that if we say they can have it by Friday - they get it by Friday.

24 weeks - or 24 hours?

We believe systems should serve people, not the other way round - so you won't catch us hiding behind tediously long lead times. In an industry where delivery is typically quoted at 10-24 weeks, the DAX norm is just 3-4. Many components can be supplied in as little as 4 days - and some can be delivered in 24 hours if necessary.

Programmed Supply

Although many of our clients were originally won over to DAX by our superb response on priority orders, we regularly manage programmed orders and will prepare delivery schedules and prices to suit your needs.
